SWIMMING

PEYTON's FIRST SWIM
She wore an itsy-bitsy teeny-weeney flower-dotted one piece swimsuit for her first swim! She didn't know what to think as the shock of the cold pool water engulfed her tiny feet. Her eyebrows shot up and her body tensed as she entered the lakehouse pool for the first time in her life. Luckily, the baby float kept most of her upper body dry so that her bottom half could acclimate to this brand new sensation. To our delight she embraced this experience after only a brief minute of cautious infant curiosity! Once relaxed, T-daddy floated her around the pool, pretending that she was navigating her own waverunner. To our delight, Peyton enjoyed the water with wide-eyed excitement, and so, we now know that she's going to be a natural swimmer just like Mommy and Daddy. Cannonball!!

Funny how that floatie thing gets used by all the grandkids. We took Keegan out in the lake in that thing last year. He's not crazy about cold water, but he does like playing in the pool when the temp is right. So picky. I think he gets that from Jen! Or Nicole.
